IZUMI Frederiksberg is a series of interior design projects for Japanese restaurants located in Copenhagen. IZUMI is a chain restaurant that serves “Nordic twisted” Japanese cuisines that holds several restaurants around greater Copenhagen. Due to the need for rebranding, we were assigned to design a spatial identity in which the interior expresses the concept of the restaurant. As a response, we translated IZUMI’s manifesto into a spatial experience by “twisting” Japanese architectural elements into the Scandinavian taste.
