Sanu Moss Chair by Karimoku

We designed a chair for SANU’s signature cabin, MOSS, exploring what it means to “live with nature” in harmony with their brand concept.
Crafted from beautiful beech sourced from Japanese forests, the chair features smooth curves that express the warmth and tactile richness of wood.
Although Japanese beech trees are typically too small in diameter for furniture-making, Karimoku’s exceptional woodworking skills and advanced timber-preservation techniques make it possible.
The result is a chair that is gentle to both its users and the environment, combining the familiarity of a classic form with the modern, contemporary spirit of SANU and its cabin.
