New Light Pottery x PP Møbler

Architecture /

2024

For New Light Pottery’s first exhibition outside Japan, mok designed an intimate space inside PP Møbler’s flagship store in Carlsbergbyen, Copenhagen. Layers of light and shadow were shaped by washi artist Wataru Hatano’s textured paper panels in earth-toned hues, serving as both spatial dividers and poetic backdrops. The arrangement guides visitors through moments of contrast — between rough, organic surfaces and the refined craftsmanship of the lamps and furniture — creating a dialogue between Japanese and Danish design traditions.
